Job summary

LEARN Academy seeks dedicated teachers to support students needing additional reading and mathematics instruction. You’ll deliver engaging, small-group lessons and partner closely with school personnel and families to ensure quality instructional outcomes.

Applicants should hold an active teaching certification or eligibility, have classroom experience across grade levels, and be skilled in using data to guide instruction.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Teaching Certification or Statement of Eligibility.
• Teaching experience with elementary, middle, and/or high school students.
• Title I experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create exceptional learning experiences for students in need of academic support.
• Develop lesson plans and implement academic interventions in reading and mathematics.
• Engage students in learning and maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Assess, document, and report student academic data and progress.
• Collaborate and communicate with principals, classroom teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team.
• Implement program components and adhere to applicable compliance requirements.

What You Have

Active and valid Teaching Certification or Statement of Eligibility

Teaching experience with elementary, middle, and/or high school students

Title I experience preferred

Ability to complete district fingerprinting and background clearance, when applicable

Reliable internet access and a computer with webcam for remote teaching, when applicable

Physical Requirements

Must be able to walk, run, stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, crawl, reach, balance, and move quickly as needed. Must push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs., maintain client safety awareness, respond quickly to changes, and safely manage client movement per ABA guidelines. Requires stamina, sustained concentration, effective communication, and ability to work in loud, high-stimulation environments. Must assist with hygiene and toileting as needed.
