This position will supervise and support maximum custody adult males at the North Dakota State Penitentiary with the Education Department. Instruction will be through whole class, small group, one-to-one, or indirect with supervision. Instructional content is aimed towards the GED examination, enrichment, a high school diploma, or a combination. This is a year-round position.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of educational programming, communicate effectivity with diverse persons, function well as a team member, and work effectively and daily with adults in custody. Must be able to successfully complete an interview, a standard background check, and a criminal record check.Requires a bachelor's degree. Preference will be given to applicants with a bachelor's degree in a teaching field and/or a North Dakota teaching or substitute teaching license.
