Job summary

Teacher Apprenticeship Network (TAN) is seeking candidates as part of its apprentice program in partnership with New Jersey districts. Participants will deliver classroom instruction under supervision, track student growth, and participate in AmeriCorps-sponsored events while earning district pay and benefits.

The program requires employment by a TAN partner school and completion of 1,700 instructional hours by August 31, 2027, with mandatory trainings and events throughout service and ongoing

Qualifications

• Must be employed by a TAN partner school/district and remain in good standing with TAN and the district throughout service.
• Hours & Timeline: Complete 1,700 hours of instructional service before August 31, 2027.
• AmeriCorps Events: Mandatory attendance at all sponsored training, networking, and service events.
• Student Tracking: Regularly set, monitor, and report on student learning goals to measure impact.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct instructional support and small-group learning.
• Work with mentor teachers and TAN advisors to meet certification milestones.
• Track service hours, program deliverables, and student academic progress.
• Participate in service projects and professional learning sessions.
