Job summary

Probity Inc. is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. You will work with engineers and product teams to implement best practices for architecture, automation, and operations.

The role focuses on IaC using Terraform, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and integration into CI/CD pipelines, with on-call rotations as needed for critical services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience on GCP.
• Proficiency with IaC tools, especially Terraform.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and GKE orchestration.
• Strong networking knowledge: VPCs, subnets, firewalls, load balancing.
• Scripting in Python or Go for automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Google Cloud certifications (preferred).

Responsibilities

Role Description:

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, especially Terraform.
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration (e.g., Google Kubernetes Engine - GKE).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VPC, subnets, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go) for automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a technical field.
• Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging).
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
