Job summary

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality in Tyler, TX is seeking an experienced Manager to lead the Compliance & Enforcement efforts within the Air and Waste Program. The role is part of the Tyler Division and includes staff supervision and program oversight.

The position requires experience managing a team, coordinating program activities, and providing technical input for regulation development. Standard business hours apply with regional variations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a business function, division, or department relevant to assignment.
• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in a field relevant to assignment.

• Manage and communicate information regarding compliance and enforcement activities for the region’s Air and Waste Program.
• Coordinate, schedule and monitor information regarding the progress of the region’s Air Program.
• Complete personnel management functions, including interviewing, hiring, and developing staff, and performance management.
• Advise the Regional Director of significant program issues.
• Provide outreach and technical assistance to the public, regulated community, media, and government officials.
• Provide input for regulation development.

Here's What You'll Be Doing

• Manage and communicate information regarding compliance and enforcement activities for the region's Air and Waste Program.

Required Education & Experience

Experience in the management of a business function, division, or department relevant to assignment.

OR

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in a field relevant to assignment.

Work Schedule

Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Individual and work group schedule determined by the TCEQ Tyler Region Office.
