Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Subject Matter Expert to support the TBICoE within the Military Health system. This hybrid-eligible role requires an MD with TBI specialization and at least 5 years of healthcare experience, with publication or presentation history preferred.

The position may involve periodic travel to TBICoE HQ in Silver Spring, MD. The role centers on serving as the SME for TBI across severities, advising leadership,

Qualifications

• MD with specialty training in a TBI-related field.
• 5+ years healthcare or healthcare research experience.
• Peer-reviewed publications or presentations at professional meetings.
• Strong knowledge of TBI and statistics.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to pass a T3 security/background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME guidance on TBI across all severities from prevention to rehabilitation.
• Brief leadership on clinical practice trends and brain health threats.
• Advise on evidence-based evaluation, treatment, and gaps in knowledge.
• Collaborate to standardize TBICoE services and programs.
• Translate research into clinical recommendations and tools.
