Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine seeks a Research Scientist to help formulate hypotheses and design TBICoE clinical studies in support of the DoD program at Fort Bragg, NC.

You will interpret study data, prepare reports, and collaborate with cross‑functional staff to advance traumatic brain injury research and dissemination within DHA and DoD partners.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MD or terminal doctorate in a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 2-3 years of clinical research experience required.
• DoD/VA system experience with neurological disorders preferred.
• Proven grant writing and manuscript publication experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist in development of clinical research investigations and projects.
• Formulate experimental hypotheses, aims and endpoints; design protocols.
• Coordinate with epidemiologists and data analysts on project aims.
• Prepare documents and manuscripts for journals; support poster presentations.
• Develop relationships with operational partners to translate research to field.
• Facilitate grant proposals and external funding documentation.
• Collaborate with SCRDs, HQ staff and NDC networks to boost productivity.
• Disseminate findings to clinical and operational communities.
• Contribute to manuscripts for publication and conference presentations.
• Attend scholarly meetings and share relevant TBICoE updates.
