Job summary

Aspiranet is seeking a Housing Specialist in Stockton, CA to support Transition Age Youth by securing and maintaining safe housing placements. You will coordinate housing logistics, landlord relationships, and compliance to help participants move toward independence.

This role emphasizes organization, relationship-building, and mission-driven work within a supportive team. Travel throughout San Joaquin County is required; Bachelor or related field not required if experience meets criteria.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business Administration or related field or 2 years of relevant office experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel required).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure safe housing options for program participants.
• Develop strong relationships with landlords, property managers, and vendors.
• Coordinate move-in/move-out, lease education, furnishing, utilities, and inspections.
• Track unit vacancies and lease renewals for timely occupancy.
• Support rent payments and housing-related financial tracking.
• Educate participants on apartment care and shared living expectations.
• Coordinate maintenance requests and unit readiness.
• Maintain HIPAA, licensing, and agency-standard documentation.
• Stay current on tenant rights and housing regulations.
• Participate in supervision, meetings, and trainings.
