Job summary

Virginia Tech is inviting applications for a non-tenure track, Professor of Practice position in the Department of Accounting and Information Systems. The candidate will teach 24 credit hours per year, help build the curriculum, and collaborate with the business community to advance ACIS programs.

Ideal applicants will have significant taxation teaching or professional experience and hold a Ph.D. or a relevant master's with licensure.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in accounting or a relevant field, or a master's degree in accounting with professional licensure (e.g., CPA) with equivalent years of accounting-related work experience; focus on taxation.
• Significant teaching and/or professional experience in taxation.

Responsibilities

• Teach and develop undergraduate and/or graduate courses within the ACIS curriculum.
• Provide academic leadership and mentorship within the department.
• Contribute to department, college, and university service and governance.
• Support the growth and visibility of the department's academic programs and initiatives.
