Job summary

Smith + Howard in Atlanta is seeking a Tax Training Specialist to design and deliver tax training, support onboarding, and partner with tax leaders to strengthen the firm’s knowledge base.

This blended role will shift throughout the year, balancing training initiatives with occasional tax work, focusing on curriculum development, program management, and leveraging LMS tools to enhance the learning experience for the tax team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Education, or related field required.
• CPA preferred; 4+ years in a public accounting firm with tax exposure.
• Experience in training, instructional design, or staff development highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws affecting individuals, corporations, and partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Training Design & Delivery: plan, coordinate, and deliver tax training programs.
• New Hire & Acquisition Integration: develop onboarding materials and learning plans.
• Curriculum Development: collaborate to develop and update training content.
• Program Management & Evaluation: manage the training calendar and assess effectiveness.
• Technology & Tools: maintain LMS and training resources.
