Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Manager, Tax & Compliance Technology in Seattle to lead a tax technology operations team responsible for accuracy, resilience, and change readiness in global tax processes.

You will partner with Tax, Regulatory, Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and frontline operations to translate regulatory needs into reliable operating practices and scale the team for Expedia Group’s global marketplace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Tax, Accounting, or a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience directly managing, coaching, and developing individual contributors, including experience with performance management and capacity planning.
• Experience operating and improving multiple technology implementations or operational domains, with a track record of resolving escalations and improving service quality.
• Experience partnering with technical and business stakeholders to define requirements, assess operational readiness, support testing or launches, and deliver measurable processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a tax technology operations team, setting goals, managing performance, and fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Own operational performance across tax content management, jurisdiction launches, tax engine administration, and monthly remittance changes.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert across tax determination and compliance platforms, partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Plan capacity, prioritize work, and maintain coverage across BAU, regulatory changes, launches, audits, and projects.
• Establish controls, documentation, and readiness criteria to improve accuracy and reliable launches.
• Influence the technology roadmap by identifying bottlenecks and automation opportunities and communicating with leaders.
