Our Tax Technology and Transformation practice offers a wide range of services addressing various finance and tax operational challenges faced by our clients, focusing on technology, data, process, and people. As part of a global team of tax and technology professionals in 150 countries, you'll have many opportunities to enhance your experience in strategy and process consulting, data management, tax software system implementation, and designing tax requirements for various systems to improve client tax functions.

The opportunity

As a member of the Tax Technology & Transformation practice, you'll develop innovative solutions and support relationship-building with clients. You will participate in key projects aimed at optimizing the performance of their tax functions.

Your key responsibilities

Depending on client needs and your experience, you may work on projects such as improving operational effectiveness in tax functions, reviewing processes and controls including technology, evaluating the effectiveness of technology systems to increase automation and data quality, assessing risks to establish control environments, and designing custom tax applications. As an associate or senior associate, you'll collaborate with leadership on these impactful projects.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to learn and operate new technology solutions, including ERP, EPM, machine learning, and AI technologies
• Capability to work with offshore teams to meet project requirements
• Experience in documenting technical and business requirements and issue prioritization
• Interest and experience in enhancing finance and tax functions, teamwork, and developing client relationships

To qualify for the role you must have

• A degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields
• At least one year (associate) or three years (senior associate) of relevant experience
• A strong interest in technology and business process applications
• Excellent communication and business writing skills
• Problem-solving flair and entrepreneurial work approach
• Strong organizational and client-facing consulting skills

Ideally, you'll also have

• Experience managing large, multidisciplinary projects impacting tax, such as ERP implementations or finance transformations
• Experience integrating tax requirements into financial systems like Oracle, SAP, HFM, Anaplan, or Tagetik
• Experience with custom applications like VBA, SQL Server, or MS Power Platform
• Knowledge of tax technology solutions such as ONESOURCE, Sabrix, Vertex, SharePoint, CCH, or RPA software
