Our Tax Technology and Transformation practice
Provides a wide range of services addressing various finance and tax operational challenges related to technology, data, process, and people. As part of a global team in 150 countries, you'll have opportunities to enhance your experience in strategy and process consulting, data management, tax software system implementation, and designing tax system requirements to improve tax function performance.
The opportunity
As a member of the Tax Technology & Transformation practice, you'll develop innovative solutions and support relationship-building with clients. You'll participate in key projects to help clients optimize their tax functions.
Your key responsibilities
- Identify ways to improve operational effectiveness in tax functions.
- Review existing processes, controls, and technology systems for automation and data quality improvements.
- Assess risks and establish proper control environments.
- Design and develop custom tax applications.
- Work with leadership on impactful projects as an associate or senior associate.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong leadership, attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn and operate new technology solutions, including ERP, EPM, machine learning, and AI technologies.
- Experience working with offshore teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Proficiency in documenting technical and business requirements and issue prioritization.
- Interest and experience in enhancing finance and tax functions, with the ability to motivate teams and build client relationships.
Minimum qualifications
- Degree in Information Systems, Accounting, MIS, Computer Science, or related field.
- At least one year (associate) or three years (senior associate) of relevant experience.
- Strong interest in technology and business process improvements.
- Excellent communication and business writing skills.
- Problem-solving flair and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong organizational and client service skills.
- Team-oriented attitude.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience managing large, multidisciplinary projects impacting tax (ERP, finance transformations).
- Experience integrating tax requirements into financial systems (Oracle, SAP, HFM, etc.).
- Knowledge of custom application development (VBA, SQL, Power Platform).
- Experience with tax technology solutions (ONESOURCE, Sabrix, Vertex, etc.).
