Job summary

Deloitte Tax LLP is seeking a Manager in its Tax Transformation Consulting (TTC) - Tax Systems group to lead day-to-day management of tax technology projects, including implementing tax systems and automating direct tax processes. You will train clients and work across cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

The team emphasizes tax as a strategic business advisor in the digital era, with opportunities to co-locate 2–3 days per week in a hybrid US tax environment.

Qualifications

• Hybrid work model requiring US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2–3 days per week.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, technology, finance, business or related field
• 5+ years' experience in implementation of tax systems including Corptax, Longview Tax, ONESOURCE, and Oracle TRCS.
• Assisting in the development of tax systems selection criteria
• Implementing tax systems and software
• Integrating cross-vendor provision, compliance, and planning systems
• Optimizing tax systems to utilize recent software enhancements
• Configuring/customizing tax systems to supplement out-of-the-box functionality
• Utilizing data wrangling/management tools to automate end-to-end direct tax process
• Leading client engagements, managing engagement teams, and driving business development
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average
• Accreditations: CPA, Attorney, Enrolled Agent, PMP, Six Sigma, MCSD, or vendor certifications

Responsibilities

• Delivery: Oversee delivery of direct tax systems client engagements and manage engagement economics, risk, and quality.
• Solutions: Design and implement tax technology solutions to address complex tax needs.
• Cross Functional Teaming: Build relationships across service lines to serve clients holistically.
• People Development: Coach and mentor; assist with staffing and development of seniors and team members.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new opportunities and support proposals and client relationships.
