Job summary

Nisivoccia LLP in Mount Arlington, NJ is seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor to lead and manage the tax preparation and planning for a diverse client base, including individuals, trusts, partnerships and corporations.

You will oversee technical tax research, review work of the tax team, mentor staff, ensure timely filings, and identify tax-saving opportunities while upholding professional standards and client confidentiality.

Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in Accounting.
• Active CPA license preferred.
• 4–7 years of progressive public accounting experience with a focus on tax.
• Leadership experience managing a tax team.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the preparation and review of individual, trust, gift, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients; proactively communicate with clients regarding tax returns and other tax related issues.
• Conduct technical tax research and present findings and recommendations to clients and internal team.
• Identify and implement tax saving opportunities for business clients and owners.
• Lead, mentor and review work of tax accounting staff; provide ongoing feedback and support staff personal development.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance by reviewing client financial records and making appropriate adjustments.
• Manage multiple clients, prioritize deadlines, and coordinate staff to ensure timely delivery of services.
• Display skill, judgement, initiative, and attention to detail and independently handle multiple assignments.
