  • Experience with tax planning, tax research, and client advisory services.
  • Knowledge of international taxation is advantageous but not required.
  • Experience representing clients before the IRS or responding to tax notices is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, estates, and tax-exempt organizations.
  • Prepare and review supporting workpapers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
  • Conduct tax research on complex issues and provide practical solutions to clients and internal teams.
  • Work directly with clients to address tax questions, resolve notices, and provide year-round tax planning and advisory services.
  • Represent and assist clients during IRS and state tax examinations, audits, and correspondence.
  • Advise clients on tax compliance matters, including delinquent filings, back taxes, payment plans, and other tax resolution matters when required.
  • Assist clients with domestic and international tax issues, including inbound and outbound tax considerations for businesses and individuals.
  • Supervise, mentor, and review the work of Tax Associates and Senior Accountants, providing ongoing coaching and technical guidance.
  • Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while ensuring deadlines, budgets, and client expectations are consistently met.
