Tax Supervisor – Global Tax Accounting (Houston, TX)

We’re seeking a Tax Supervisor to join a high-performing team supporting one of the largest and most respected companies in the energy industry. This role is ideal for a tax professional with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset, ready to take ownership of global tax provision processes and contribute to financial reporting and compliance.

Position Summary

As Tax Supervisor, you will assist in the preparation and review of global income tax provisions, support quarterly and annual reporting, and collaborate across departments to ensure accurate and timely tax filings. You’ll play a key role in maintaining internal controls, supporting audits, and contributing to tax forecasting and planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual global income tax provisions under ASC 740.
• Support Form 10-Q and 10-K tax footnote disclosures and external audit documentation.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining tax forecast systems and related documentation.
• Reconcile intercompany asset and inventory transfers; record related journal entries.
• Contribute to the financial close process, including account reconciliations and technical tax research.
• Maintain SOX documentation and ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
• Collaborate with tax compliance, accounting, and finance teams to gather data and ensure accurate reporting.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience.
• Strong understanding of ASC 740 and corporate tax accounting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Tax.
• CPA certification.
• Experience with SAP, OneSource, Alteryx, and Power BI.
