Job summary

Florida Power & Light Company in Florida is seeking an experienced Tax Analyst to support internal and management reporting for the NextEra tax forecast, including analyses of income tax expense, payments, and credit utilization.

The role covers tax research, planning, forecasting, analysis and defense of tax positions, with responsibilities to lead tax projects and drive accuracy and efficiency in reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 6+ years of experience in tax reporting/forecasting.
• Master's degree in Accounting/Finance or CPA preferred.
• Experience with tax research and compliance processes.

Responsibilities

• Manages tax-related projects and system maintenance or development.
• Prepares and reviews tax returns and work papers.
• Researches laws, regulations, and rulings to minimize tax liability.
• Responds to inquiries from government agencies regarding filings.
• Provides tax assumptions and results in project models.
• Leads project teams to improve quality, efficiency and transparency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
