Cherry Bekaert seeks a Tax Staff to handle diverse tax engagements under supervision, serving clients from various industries. You will communicate with project lead staff and clients, preparing federal and multi-state corporate and basic partnership returns while researching tax issues using online tools.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in accounting, with CPA eligibility or pursuit, and have proficiency in spreadsheet software, with willingness to travel and work OT as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• Masters preferred; CPA certified or eligible to pursue CPA license.
• Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

• Work on a wide variety of tax engagements under supervision.
• Engage and serve clients from various industries.
• Communicate with project in-charges and clients.
• Prepare federal and multi-state corporate tax returns and basic partnership returns.
• Research fundamental tax issues using online tools.
• Prepare and organize workpapers for client files.
