Job summary

FORGE SEARCH + CONSULTING, LLC is partnering with a growing accounting and advisory organization in Greenville, SC to recruit a Tax Services Manager. This role leads and expands tax services, taking ownership of client needs and shaping the service line within a broader advisory practice.

You will develop processes, guide planning conversations, and mentor staff while delivering high‑quality federal and state tax work for individuals and businesses.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• 3+ years of tax experience, ideally in public accounting or client-service environment.
• Strong experience with individual and business tax returns.
• Solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations and tax planning strategies.
• Ability to independently manage client relationships and communicate complex tax concepts clearly.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with interest in building and improving processes.
• Experience reviewing returns or mentoring junior team members is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients regarding tax questions, planning opportunities, and compliance needs.
• Lead proactive tax planning throughout the year, including quarterly planning conversations and estimated tax strategies.
• Identify opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and provide thoughtful, practical recommendations to clients.
• Help establish and refine processes, workflows, and best practices as the tax services offering grows.
• Partner with accounting and advisory professionals to provide clients with a well-rounded view of their financial needs.
• Stay current on changes in federal and state tax laws and communicate relevant impacts to clients.
• Contribute to the continued development and growth of the tax practice.

We are partnering with a growing accounting and advisory organization in Greenville, SC seeking a Tax Services Manager to help lead and expand its tax services offering. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys the technical side of tax but is also excited by the opportunity to build, shape, and grow a service line.

Rather than stepping into a large, established tax department, this individual will have the opportunity to take ownership of client tax needs, develop processes and best practices, and help shape how tax services integrate with the organization's broader accounting and advisory work.
