Job summary

Andersen in Seattle is seeking a Tax Services Intern to join client service teams and gain hands-on training under a mentor. You’ll develop technical skills, expand your professional network, and participate in tax engagements across various industries.

The program emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and initiative, with a hybrid office model in Downtown Seattle and a pathway to CPA eligibility. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and pursuing an accounting degree.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or an advanced degree in Accounting or Taxation.
• Eligible Summer 2027 interns must have a final graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028 with CPA eligibility.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0; a GPA of 3.5 or higher is preferred.
• Strong leadership, multitasking and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with initiative to seek out opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills; and
• Ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management through both written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with research of tax laws, rules, and regulations and drafting memorandums.
• Participating in select phases of tax compliance engagements (individual, estate, gift, fiduciary).
• Work as part of a team of problem solvers with vast consulting and industry experience.
• Proactively seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback.
• Supporting select projects demonstrating creative thinking and initiative while working as a team member.
• Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks.
