Job summary

Thrive Financial Recruiting seeks a Tax leader for a local CPA firm in Denver. You will manage a tax team, oversee client relationships, and perform advanced planning and reviews of complex U.S. and multi-state returns for pass-throughs, S-Corps, partnerships, and C-Corps.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA, has public accounting experience, and excels at guiding teams with strong interpersonal skills. Flexible hybrid work with two days in downtown Denver and parking included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Accounting; CPA required.
• Experience leading tax teams in public accounting or similar settings.
• Strong communication to manage client relationships and team performance.

Job description

Local CPA firm recently acquired by a local wealth management investment company has two partners retiring. Seeking a Tax leader for the small office.

They are looking for a person who loves managing a team, complex tax planning and tax compliance review!

Job

• Manage and lead team of tax providers and an accountant
• Manage client relationships
• Analyze, research and provide tax planning for clients
• Review complex U.S. and multi-state income tax returns for primarily pass through partnerships and their related owners 1040's to include S-Corps, and partnerships and some C-Corps
• Review complex high net worth individual, gift and estate tax returns
• Analyze current/prior year returns and identify future planning opportunities
• Review complex tax planning projections
• Respond to IRS and state agency audits, enquiries and tax notices
• Provide high level accounting review and advice to clients

Ideal candidate

• Bachelor in Accounting
• CPA
• Tax experience in public accounting firm(s) (preference for small and mid-tier firms)
• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills to lead team and manage client relationships

Flexible hybrid - roughly 2 days in office in downtown Denver (parking included) or in Evergreen

$140,000-170,000+ bonus plus 100% medical insurance covered for employee (extra for family), CPE and more!

Compensation

$140,000-$170,000 per year
