A private equity firm in the Denver area is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join a close-knit team of five tax professionals. The role targets a seasoned tax expert who thrives on solving complex tax challenges, enjoys client interaction, and mentors junior staff, delivering top-tier service to the firm’s owners and high-net-worth individuals while deepening technical expertise.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and review federal and multi-state tax returns for partnerships, LLCs, and S corporations
- Lead tax planning, research, and special projects for clients with sophisticated financial profiles
- Identify and resolve technical tax issues, offering clear, actionable guidance to clients and team members
- Collaborate with managers and firm leadership to meet client service goals
- Mentor and train staff accountants, reviewing their work and supporting their growth
- Manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
What You Bring
- CPA license (or active progress toward certification)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation is a plus
- Minimum 3 years of tax experience, with a strong focus on partnerships and S corporations
- Solid understanding of basis rules, capital accounts, and multi-state taxation
- Strong research, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with tax software such as CCH Axcess, Engagement, and research platforms
