BMSS Advisors & CPAs is seeking a Tax Senior Manager to lead the tax workstream of mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions within our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice. The role focuses on guiding clients through due diligence, structuring, planning, and post-closing tax integration, while mentoring junior professionals and collaborating with deal teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in tax or TAS
• Strong working knowledge of partnership, S corp, and C corp taxation
• Active CPA license required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort with complex tax data
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead tax due diligence for mergers and acquisitions and related transactions
• Advise on transaction structures including stock vs asset treatment and elections
• Review purchase agreements for tax considerations and allocations
• Advise closely held and PE-backed clients on tax matters and reorganizations
• Collaborate with clients and legal/financial advisors throughout the deal cycle
• Support post-closing tax integration, planning, and compliance while mentoring juniors
