Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting partners with a public accounting firm in North Conway, NH to recruit a Tax Senior or Tax Manager. This role specializes in preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities, while guiding planning opportunities.

You will manage multiple client engagements, review staff work, and nurture client relationships.

Qualifications

• Previous tax experience in a small-to-mid-sized public accounting firm
• CPA or EA preferred for Manager-level role

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other business entities.
• Research complex tax issues and provide guidance on tax planning, compliance, and reporting requirements.
• Manage multiple client engagements and ensure tax filings are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
• Review work prepared by staff accountants and provide guidance, training, and feedback as needed.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted resource for tax-related questions and planning opportunities.
• Assist with tax projections, estimates, and year-round planning to identify opportunities and minimize tax liabilities.
• Communicate with clients, tax authorities, and internal team members to resolve issues and obtain necessary information.
• Stay current on changes in federal, state, and local tax laws and assess their impact on clients.
