Baker Tilly in Northern California seeks a Tax Senior Manager to serve PE portfolio company clients, delivering industry-focused tax advisory and compliance. You will work with firm leadership, mentor staff, and help grow the business.

You will lead client relationships, research complex tax matters, coordinate with specialty tax teams, and drive profitability while balancing work and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• CPA, law license or EA required; eight+ years of experience in federal tax in a public firm.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in accounting preferred; PE industry experience favored.
• Proven ability to lead client relationships and manage engagements.

Responsibilities

• Provide federal tax compliance and consulting services to middle market and portfolio companies.
• Lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters and ensure engagement profitability.
• Mentor and coach staff; support development through firm learning programs.
• Coordinate with specialty tax on state/local, international, credits and incentives.
• Network to acquire new clients and projects; contribute to firm growth.
