Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university.
• 10+ years of federal tax with financial instruments and/or M&A experience in a public accounting firm, a corporate tax department, or a law firm or comparable experience.
• Active CPA in state of residence, EA or licensed attorney.
• Knowledge of a broad range of financial instruments and/or corporate tax matters in various industries.
• Project management and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent research and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team that focuses on delivering due diligence and tax structuring services, and communicates findings and opportunities to clients.
• Identify and develop high value tax opportunities for our clients.
• Assist clients on a range of financial instruments and related M&A tax issues such as recapitalization, restructuring and bankruptcy transactions, classification, sales, and exchanges of financial instruments, deductibility of interest, and hedging transactions.
• Planning, managing and executing on advice engagements with limited supervision.
• Develop, motivate, and train team members.
