Job summary

RSM US LLP seeks a dynamic Financial Instruments Tax Senior Manager to join our Washington National Tax Practice. You will advise multinational corporations and private equity firms on the tax implications of M&A transactions and financial instruments, including restructuring and recapitalization.

The role offers opportunities to lead multi-disciplinary engagements, manage complex advisory projects, and mentor junior staff in a rapidly growing practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
• 10+ years of federal tax with financial instruments and/or M&A experience in a public accounting firm, corporate tax department, or law firm.
• Active CPA, EA, or licensed attorney in the state of residence.
• Knowledge of financial instruments and corporate tax matters across industries.
• Strong project management and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent research and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering due diligence and tax structuring services and communicating findings to clients.
• Identify and develop high-value tax opportunities for clients.
• Advise clients on financial instruments and related M&A tax issues such as recapitalization, restructuring, bankruptcy transactions, classification, and hedging.
• Plan, manage, and execute advice engagements with limited supervision.
• Develop, motivate, and train team members.
