Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
• 7+ years of tax experience within public accounting.
• Extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
• Stays up-to-date on changing tax regulations and policies.
• Self-starter who works independently and in a team.
• Ability to focus on complex tasks and understand compliance processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, reviews, and signs individual, business, and other tax returns for clients in various entities and industries.
• Works with the tax team to perform tax planning, client interaction, and special tax projects.
• Considers tax situations from multiple angles to maximize tax benefits.
• Develops solutions and communicates them to the engagement team and client.
• Manages client relationships by monitoring needs and adding value to services.
• Oversees client billing for accounting services provided.
• Provides mentoring and technical training for tax department staff.
• Attends training seminars, professional development, and networking events.
