Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required
• 5–7 years of tax experience in public accounting
• Extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations
• Active up-to-date on tax regulations and policies
• Self-starter who can work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to focus on complex tasks and understand compliance processes

Responsibilities

• Prepares, Reviews, and Sign individual, business, and other types of tax returns for clients in various entities and industries
• Collaborates with tax team on planning, client interaction and special tax projects
• Ensures maximum tax benefit by considering different angles in tax situations
• Develops solutions and communicates them to engagement team and client
• Manages client relationships by monitoring needs and delivering value
• Participates in business development activities
• Assists with client billings to reflect work performed
• Supervises and delegates to Associate and Senior Associate staff
• Provides mentoring and technical training for tax department staff
• Attends training seminars, professional development, and networking events
