Job summary

Red Seal Recruiting is seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager/Director for a progressive CPA firm in Phoenix. The role requires 8 years of public accounting tax experience, managing client engagements, and leading tax planning for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.

Ideal candidates will have CPA/EA credentials, strong leadership, and the ability to develop client relationships while mentoring staff in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 8 years of recent public accounting tax experience, including preparing/reviewing complex tax returns.
• Experience in year-end tax planning for individuals and corporations.
• Ability to meet with clients, work independently, and provide creative planning solutions.
• Research tax issues and stay current with tax code changes.
• Management/supervisory experience and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as client’s trusted advisor and manage engagement deliverables to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Review complex tax returns for C corps, S corps, partnerships, trusts and estates.
• Provide tax planning guidance and growth opportunities for clients.
• Mentor, coach and supervise staff; foster a positive team culture.
• Engage in business development and client relationship management activities.
