Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Senior in the Business Incentives Group to lead or support services identifying and documenting tax credits and incentives. The role includes preparing workplans, interviewing client personnel for data, and creating client reports on available tax benefits.

Responsibilities extend to mentoring interns and associates, training staff, and staying current with tax laws and strategies. A Bachelor’s degree is required, with 2+ years in accounting, tax, or finance; CPA/EA/JD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, required.
• Two or more years prior experience in accounting, tax or finance (including internships), required.
• Experience in preparing/reviewing tax provisions, corporate taxation, consolidations, and partnerships, preferred.
• Currently holds or working towards CPA/EA/JD, preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel & Word, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops client relationships and project workplans.
• Leads or participates in interviews to collect data for tax credits and incentives.
• Prepares or reviews calculations, cost schedules, and supporting client documentation.
• Produces final client deliverables summarizing analysis and results.
• Trains and mentors junior staff to enable others to perform tasks.
