Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Active CPA license preferred; Enrolled Agent (EA) certification also accepted.
• 2–4 years of tax experience in public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
• Up-to-date with evolving tax laws.
• Self-starter who works well independently and in a team.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepares individual, business and other types of tax returns for clients.
• Collaborates with the tax team on planning and client communication.
• Gathering relevant tax-related information from the client for accurate returns.
• Looks at tax situations to maximize tax benefits.
• Develops solutions and communicates with the engagement team and client.
• Prepares accounting-related reports in a paperless environment.
• Trains and mentors lower-level employees in the tax department.
• Attends training seminars, professional development and networking events.
