Job summary

WebsterRogers LLP in South Carolina seeks a Tax Senior Associate to elevate client service, cultivate relationships, and pursue a leadership track. The role offers ownership opportunities and is available in Bluffton, Charleston, or Florence offices.

You’ll apply tax knowledge to complex individual and partnership returns, supervise junior staff, review filings, and support engagements while strengthening client partnerships and contributing to the firm's growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; MS/MAcc preferred.
  • CPA license or eligible to sit for CPA exam.
  • 2+ years of relevant tax experience including partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Apply tax knowledge to intermediate level flow-through returns and complex individual returns.
  • Apply strong analytical skills to business transactions.
  • Perform reviews of individual and business tax returns while providing guidance to junior team members and interns.
  • Research tax issues to identify options that align with client goals.
  • Resolve open items and issues on assigned engagements.
  • Manage engagement budgets and individual productivity; proactively identify efficiencies.
  • Effectively manage and prioritize concurrent assignments through to completion.
  • Guide and develop staff throughout engagements, offering timely, honest, and constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Serve as a buddy and role model through active participation in firm committees and events.
  • Contribute new ideas that improve outcomes for clients, the firm, and colleagues.
  • Other duties within scope of practic.

In this role, you'll apply your tax knowledge and research skills to help clients navigate complex tax issues, ensure compliance, and identify opportunities to minimize their tax burden. You'll play a key role in preparing and reviewing tax filings, supporting client engagements, and as your experience grows, supervising and mentoring Tax Associates.

What You Bring


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, MS/MAcc preferred

  • CPA license or eligible to sit for the CPA exam

  • 2+ years of relevant tax experience including partnerships; Real Estate/Construction experience is a plus but not required.

  • Basic supervisory experience preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Experience with tax research databases and tax compliance software
