Job summary

WebsterRogers, a leading tax and advisory practice in South Carolina, is seeking a Tax Senior Associate to elevate client service, take on ownership, and grow toward leadership. You will support multiple engagements from Bluffton, Charleston, or Florence offices.

The role emphasizes preparing and reviewing tax filings, mentoring associates, and developing client relationships while contributing to firm initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; MS/MAcc preferred.
• CPA license or eligible to sit for CPA exam.
• 2+ years of tax experience including partnerships.
• Real Estate/Construction experience a plus but not required.
• Basic supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply analytical skills to business transactions.
• Review individual and business tax returns and mentor juniors.
• Research tax issues to identify client options.
• Manage engagement budgets and staff productivity; prioritize assignments.
• Guide staff and participate in firm committees and events.

We are seeking a motivated Tax Senior Associate who’s ready to elevate their career while making a meaningful impact. This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional ready to take on more ownership, deepen client relationships, and build toward a leadership track within the firm. This position is available in our Charleston, Florence or Bluffton Office.

In this role, you'll apply your tax knowledge and research skills to help clients navigate complex tax issues, ensure compliance, and identify opportunities to minimize their tax burden. You'll play a key role in preparing and reviewing tax filings, supporting client engagements, and as your experience grows, supervising and mentoring Tax Associates.

What You’ll Do

• Apply strong analytical skills to business transactions
• Perform reviews of individual and business tax returns while providing guidance to junior team members and interns
• Research tax issues to identify options that align with client goals
• Resolve open items and issues on assigned engagements
• Manage engagement budgets and individual productivity; proactively identify efficienciesEffectively manage and prioritize concurrent assignments through to completion
• Guide and develop staff throughout engagements, offering timely , honest, and constructive feedback to support their growth
• Serve as a buddy and role model through active participation in firm committees and events
• Contribute new ideas that improve outcomes for clients, the firm, and colleagues
• Other duties within scope of practic

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting , M S / MAcc preferred
• CPA license or eligible to sit for the CPA exam
• 2+ years of relevant tax experience including partnerships; Real Estate/Construction experience is a plus but not required .
• Basic supervisory experience preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite , specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
• Experience with tax research databases and tax compliance software
