Job description

We have a great opportunity for aSenior Tax Accountant in our Louisville, KY office. This position offers outstanding potential for growth and the opportunity to work with clients of various sizes, stages and industries throughout the region.

As a Senior Tax Accountant your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in training of staff accountants.
• Assisting in tax planning for clients.
• Conducting research on technical accounting and tax issues.
• Communicating with clients to identify and address their tax and consulting needs.
• Developing external relationships and building a network of peers.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of all client matters.
• Performing other accounting and tax duties as needed and assigned by supervisory personnel.

What do we look for?

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a public accounting firm (within the last 7 years) including preparation of individual, corporation and partnership tax returns.
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA license a plus, but not required.
• Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles and tax.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and organization skills.
• Team focus.
