Job summary

TSS Advisors in New Hampshire is seeking a talented Tax Senior for our growing advisory firm that serves individuals and closely held businesses. You will prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns, coordinate with client support staff, and contribute to ongoing tax planning under engagement leaders.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in public accounting, a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, CPA or EA is preferred, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3+ years with a public accounting firm preparing and reviewing individual and business income tax returns.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Integrity within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or review individual tax returns depending on client complexity.
• Review tax information supplied by the client and obtain open items if necessary.
• Assist in ongoing tax planning and tax projections in accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders.
• Communicate efficiently and effectively with our team on client issues that arise.
• Ensure deliverable deadlines are met. Research tax law updates.
• Research tax issues, provide recommendations to the team, and ensure compliance with regulations.

The Role

We’re looking for a talented and motivated Tax Senior to join a fast-growing, innovative professional advisory firm working with individuals and closely held businesses. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, entrepreneurial CPA with a team mentality and strong technical accounting and tax knowledge. You will primarily be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex individual tax returns and coordinating directly with client support staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or reviewindividual tax returns depending on client complexity
• Review tax information supplied by the client and obtain open items if necessary
• Assist in ongoing tax planning and tax projections in accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders
• Communicate efficiently and effectively with our team on client issues that arise
• Ensure deliverable deadlines are metResearch tax law updates
• Research tax issues, provide recommendations to the team, and ensure compliance with regulations

Requirements

• 3+ years with a public accounting firm preparing and reviewing individual and business income tax returns
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Strong attention to detail
• Integrity within a professional environment

Preferences

• Experience with CCH Axcess tax, CCH Pfx Engagement, and QuickBooks
• Active CPA or EA
