BGM's Tax Season Internship in Bloomington, MN welcomes motivated accounting students for January through mid-April 2028. Interns work alongside seasoned professionals on real client engagements in tax and assurance, gaining hands-on experience rather than watching from the sidelines.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and are working toward 150 CPA credits.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Working toward 150 CPA credits for licensure.
• Junior or senior standing (or similar) in academic status.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborative yet able to work independently.
• Positive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
• Experience working with customers or clients in a service-oriented environment.
• Able to work ~55 hours per week during peak periods in Bloomington, MN.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist with audits, reviews, compilations, and other assurance engagements.
• Prepare individual and business tax returns with the tax team.
• Assist with tax research and special projects.
• Gather, organize, and analyze client information.
• Support multiple client engagements and communicate progress with the team.
• Gain exposure to diverse industries and client work.
• Develop accounting and tax knowledge through hands-on experience and training.
• Collaborate with professionals at different levels within the firm.
