Jackson Hewitt is seeking a Tax School Facilitator to teach on-site in Troy, Ohio and multiple locations. You will deliver engaging tax education, guide adult students through core concepts, and assess progress to ensure understanding.

Qualifications

• 1 year prior teaching and the ability to speak and facilitate a small group of students.
• Previous teaching, training, or instructional experience preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to break down learnings and explain lessons
• Proficiency with computers, software and presenting
• Patient, motivating, and student‑focused demeanor
• 6 week course, 6.5 teaching hours per week in office

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, structured tax education courses to students of varying experience levels
• Teach core tax concepts including federal and state income tax preparation, deductions, and credits
• Facilitate classroom discussions, exercises, and hands‑on tax return practice
• Evaluate student progress through assessments, quizzes, and feedback
• Maintain an organized and welcoming classroom environment conducive to learning
• Stay current on IRS tax laws, regulations, and updates to ensure accurate instruction
• Collaborate with management to align curriculum with Jackson Hewitt standards and training materials
