Job summary

Jackson Hewitt is seeking an enthusiastic Tax School Facilitator to join our on-site team across multiple locations including Indianapolis, Indiana. You will deliver tax education, engage adult learners, and help build a skilled tax workforce.

You will teach core tax concepts, facilitate discussions, assess progress, and stay current with IRS updates. This role offers an opportunity to influence students' success and contribute to a trusted nationwide tax education program.

Qualifications

• 1 year prior teaching or facilitation required.
• Ability to speak and facilitate a small group (5-10 students).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with computers and presenting software.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, structured tax education courses to students of varying experience levels
• Teach core tax concepts including federal and state income tax preparation, deductions, and credits
• Facilitate classroom discussions, exercises, and hands-on tax return practice
• Evaluate student progress through assessments, quizzes, and feedback
• Maintain an organized and welcoming classroom environment conducive to learning
• Stay current on IRS tax laws, regulations, and updates to ensure accurate instruction
• Collaborate with management to align curriculum with Jackson Hewitt standards and training materials

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Previous teaching, training, or instructional experience preferred

• Ability to break down learnings and explain lessons
• Proficiency with computers, software and presenting
• Patient, motivating, and student‑focused demeanor
• 6 week course, 6.5 teaching hours per week in office
