Job summary

Discovered Search in the Boston area seeks an experienced Tax Manager (Review-Focused) to own the tax review process, supervising accuracy and compliance for high-net-worth returns. This hands-on technical leadership role emphasizes quality, workflow efficiency, and collaboration with staff and leadership, without direct people management.

You will review roughly half of the firm’s individual returns—S-Corps and partnerships included—while partnering with preparers to keep engagements moving and

Qualifications

• Strong experience reviewing individual, partnership, and S-Corp tax returns.
• Deep technical knowledge for complex high-net-worth tax scenarios.
• Ability to review high volumes while maintaining accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
• Clear communicator able to provide actionable feedback to staff.

Responsibilities

• Tax Review & Oversight: review returns for accuracy and compliance.
• Quality Control & Process Management: ensure standards and regulations are met.
• Workflow Coordination: manage return flow through the review process.
• Staff Development Through Review: provide constructive feedback and act as a resource.
• Client Collaboration: support client interactions on technical matters and planning insights.
