Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Tax Interview Assistant in Bethel, Maine. You will help start tax interviews by entering client data and W-2 information into the tax software, and you will assist with closing interviews by assembling returns and obtaining signatures.

You will work to provide superior service to all clients, with emphasis on clear communication, accuracy, and teamwork. The role requires basic math, reading skills, and familiarity with Windows-based programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service
• All other duties as assigned
