Lateral Associate

Skadden’s Tax Group in Washington, D.C. is seeking outstanding lateral candidates (class of 2024-2021) to join the Tax group’s renewable energy practice. Strong transactional tax experience is required, and the ideal candidate will have experience advising developers and investors in renewable energy transactions, including tax equity investments, and with respect to qualifying for U.S. federal tax credits and other related benefits. High level of academic achievement and experience in a similar Tax practice of a peer firm are preferred qualifications. Candidates for the Houston office may also be considered. Qualified candidates should be admitted to practice law in Washington D.C. and/or Texas (depending on location). The starting base salary for this position is expected to be between $235,000 to $365,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law. This position may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
