Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Administrator I in the Information Validation Section (IVS) of the Processing Services Bureau (PSB), the Tax Program Supervisor supervises and provides technical assistance to the IVS Audit Support team. This team is responsible for, but not limited to, providing Audit level support to IVS on complex cases, reviewing and approving Personal Income Tax (PIT) large refunds, reviewing Notice of Tax Return Change for accuracy, monitoring IVS Audit Support workbasket, processing Married Filing Joint to Other returns, and handling Group Nonresident returns and payment transfer requests. Audit support duties include referring cases to Audit such as claims for refund, and questionable amended returns, under appeal, and resolve/ process complex Audit-referred cases. The incumbent also develops, motivates and enables employees to help the section meet quality and production goals.

Working Conditions

This position requires 4 or more days in the office per week. It is designated office-centered and may be eligible for some remote work based on departmental guidelines and operational need.
