Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasoned Tax Professional to deliver expert tax services during peak season. You will interview clients, prepare returns, and provide IRS support, with training from an experienced team.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s in accounting or related field, CPA/EA certification, and 5+ years in accounting or tax. Strong client-facing skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, hybrid environment are valued.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environmentComfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
