Job summary

H&R Block in Urbana, OH is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You’ll work with an expert team and receive advanced tax training to be successful.

Responsibilities include conducting tax interviews (in person or virtually), preparing accurate returns for individuals, trusts and partnerships, generating business growth, and providing IRS support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environmentComfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
