Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You will deliver high-quality tax preparation and support with guidance from an expert team.

Responsibilities include conducting client interviews (in-person and virtual), preparing complete returns, and offering additional products and IRS assistance as needed. Prior CPA/EA certification or pursuing is preferred; strong communication is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environmentComfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
