Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an experienced Tax Professional for the seasonal period to serve clients with diverse tax needs, delivering high-quality service with a supportive team.

You will conduct client interviews, prepare returns, and provide IRS and state tax guidance while building relationships and growing the office’s client base through trust and accurate work.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing returns
• Experience with virtual tax interviews
• Sales and/or marketing experience
• Must complete continuing education requirements and meet IRS/state requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environmentComfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
