Job summary

H&R Block in Maine is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team. You’ll deliver advanced tax training and build relationships that grow stronger every year.

Responsibilities include conducting tax interviews, preparing accurate returns, and providing IRS support while seeking opportunities to grow the business and help clients with additional products and services. This role emphasizes client service and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification required.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Pay Range

$15.10 - $30.00/Hr.
