Job summary

H&R Block in Michigan is seeking seasonal Tax Professionals to assist clients with diverse tax needs, leveraging both in-person and virtual interviews to ensure accurate returns. You will complete returns, identify opportunities for additional services, and deliver IRS support with guidance from a skilled team.

The role requires CPA/EA credentials or progress toward them, strong accounting experience, and the ability to mentor teammates while maintaining compliance and high client satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
